About Atelier 1948

I'm Cara Showah, the founder and creative mind behind Atelier 1948, a creative studio built on storytelling, intentional design, and preserving the moments that matter.

Some dreams are built on the people who came before us.

​

The name Atelier 1948 is deeply personal. The year 1948 honors my grandfather, Johnny Mack, who was born that year. To my gran and me, he was simply Peaw. His legacy of hard work, kindness, and the life he built continues to inspire me every day.

My gran is the reason I fell in love with a camera. She showed me that photographs have the power to freeze a moment in time, while videos allow us to relive the emotions, stories, and memories behind those moments. Together, they preserve the laughter, milestones, and little details that deserve to be remembered for generations.

That belief became the foundation of Atelier 1948.

I earned my degree in Business Administration from Delta State University, where I developed a deeper understanding of branding, strategy, and the importance of building meaningful connections. Today, I combine that knowledge with my passion for visual storytelling through social media management and event content creation.

Alongside building Atelier 1948, I have the privilege of managing social media for a well known business in Nebraska, creating intentional content strategies that strengthen their brand presence and connect with their audience.

Whether I’m managing a brand’s online presence or capturing the energy of an unforgettable event, my goal is the same: to create meaningful content that tells your story with intention, authenticity, and purpose.

Because the moments we capture today become part of the legacy we leave tomorrow.
